Since my last newsletter in 2016 (see website for copy), we have had a number of events and donations, as well as news of an upcoming Atlanta networking event that I want to share with you. Please read and share/forward our news!

This past year’s highlights:
WVSJ Ambassador veterans authored the entire contents of the Women Veterans issue of Combat Stress e-magazine (Jan 2016), which is available free at this link (sign up there for direct delivery of future issues) https://www.stress.org/military/combat-stress-magazine/
-had a WVSJ Information Management-System Upgrade, using a Sales Force- Technology Grant. We are currently in training and need others who could learn the software through an online learning module
-received a Google Technology Grant and need others to use and go online for online training modules
-distributed 300+ personal care bags to homeless/near homeless women veterans, donated by women’s faith communities for the 3rdyear, and have received a new batch for 2017 distribution
-initiated a Facebook Community Recognition of women veterans
-presented at Emory School of Nursing, Atlanta on Women Veteran Health Issues; JDTR National Conference , Savannah; and Pallyup, Washington.
-held a successful small all donors online/mail in fundraiser
-received the benefits from a private event hosted by a veteran and highly awarded businesswoman
-received a donation (for the 3rd year!) of timeshare weeks for our WVSJ retreats
-continued partnerships with FEW, Protect our Defenders, Vote Run Lead, Warrior Songs, VFW, Atlanta Dream
Please join us in supporting (by attending and/or donating to sponsor a student veteran) our May 24 Veteran Business Social at GTRI Conference Center in Atlanta. Registration is required and open to all veterans and supporters of veterans. Check out website for info/to register. This is a fundraiser for us!
We are looking for student interns for 2017 summer and fall semesters (see website).
